Schedule Updates as of 07/08/2026
Reach 9 – Broadview from Cermak Road to 19th Street
- Construction completed. Minor erosion control and vegetation maintenance works will continue to take place until June 2027
Reach 8 – Westchester from Gardner Road to Roosevelt Road
- Major construction activities completed. Restoration of the west side of the creek will take place in August 2026
Reach 7 – Westchester from Roosevelt Road to Wedgewood Drive
- Construction activities completed and the reach has been restored. Erosion control and vegetation maintenance works will continue to take place until June 2027.
Reach 6 – Bellwood from Eastern Ave to Cernan Drive
- ACB Mat installation will continue until September 2026.
- Lift Station installed and fully operational.
- Bridge demolition at 30th Ave and 31st Ave is complete and 32nd Ave Bridge will be demolished in August 2026.
- Restoration and opening of Harrison and new roadway north of creek anticipated for in September 2026
Reach 5 – Bellwood South of St. Charles Road
- Construction & Restoration work complete and the reach is fully restored for access and turned over to respective property owners.
Reach 4 – Bellwood North of St. Charles Road
- Restoration works completed. Erosion control and vegetation maintenance works will continue to take place until June 2027.
Reach 3 – Melrose Park South of Lake Street near UPRR Proviso Facility
- Construction work completed.
- Final restoration works underway. Erosion control and vegetation maintenance works will continue to take place until June 2027.
Reach 2 – Stone Park between Mannheim Road and Lake Street
- Major construction work completed.
- Lift Station installation will be completed in August 2026.
- Restoration work is ongoing and will be completed in August 2026
Reach 1 – Stone Park and Northlake between Mannheim Road and E Hirsch Street
- Construction to continue through winter 2026 and forecasted to be completed by October 2026
- Park construction to take place in August 2026.
- Restoration work is underway.
