Reach 9 – Broadview from Cermak Road to 19th Street
- Construction began mid-December 2023 and will continue through the end of 2024
- Tree clearing complete
- Excavation and Gabion mattress installation ongoing through November 2024
- Restoration to occur November 2024.
Reach 8 – Westchester from Gardner Road to Roosevelt Road
- Construction began January 2024 and will continue through April of 2025
- Tree clearing complete
- Drilled shaft installation and retaining wall construction ongoing through November of 2024
- Excavation and gabion installation to occur Septeber through December 2024
- Pavement restoration on east side of creek to occur October 2024.
- Pavement restoration on weide of creek to occur April 2025
Reach 7 – Westchester from Roosevelt Road to Wedgewood Drive
- Construction began February 2024 and will continue through April 2025
- Tree clearing to be complete.
- Excavation and gabion installation to occur January 2024 through March 2025.
- Restoration to occur April 2025.
Reach 6 – Bellwood from Eastern Ave to Cernan Drive
- Harrison Street closed on February 5th and will remain closed through mid 2025
- Construction began mid-February 2024 and will continue through mid 2025
- Electrical removals and utility relocation in progress
- Proposed utility installation in progress
- Channel improvements to commence upon existing utility relocation.
- Restoration and opening of Harrison and new roadway north of creek anticipated for Summer 2025
Reach 5 – Bellwood South of St. Charles Road
- Construction began March of 2024 and will continue through November 2024
- Tree clearing complete
- Drilled shaft installation and retaining wall construction anticipated from mid-April through October 2024
- Excavation and gabion installation to occur June through October 2024
- Pavement restoration on east side of channel to occur November 2024
- Pavement restoration on west side of Channel to be delayed due to utility conflict.
Reach 4 – Bellwood North of St. Charles Road
- Construction to begin March of 2024 and will continue through November 2024
- Tree clearing complete
- Excavation and gabion installation to occur June through October 2024
- Completion is delayed due to utility conflict on north side of st.Charles Road
- Restoration TBD
Reach 3 – Melrose Park South of Lake Street near UPRR Proviso Facility
- Construction began July of 2024 and will continue through July 2025
Reach 2 – Stone Park between Mannheim Road and Lake Street
- Construction began March of 2024 and will continue through August 2025
- Tree clearing began March 2024 through end of April 2024
- Establish access and performed removals through May 2024
- Utility work began May 2024 through November 2024
- Drilled shaft and retaining wall construction to begin September 2024 through June 2025
- Excavation and gabion installation to occur from September 2024 through June 2025
- Pavement restoration to occur in August of 2025
- Utlity conflict likely to impact above dates
Reach 1 – Stone Park and Northlake between Mannheim Road and E Hirsch Street
- Construction began March of 2024 and will continue through August 2025
- Pavement and fence work near south of 43rd to be complete in September 2025
- Utility work to begin September 2024 and continue through winter 2024/2025
- Drilled shaft installation and retaining wall construction to begin December 2024 and continue through August 2025
- Park construction to be complete in August 2025
- Pavement restoration to be complete in August 2025
